My daughter is you typical seven year old girlie girl. She loves trying out new accessories and different styles in her hair. Her hair is very long, I don't know what happened because when she was a baby she was pretty much bald until she was about three years old. Then out of nowhere these lovely

Rapunzel-like locks grew. I am always looking to try new and different things with her hair because she refuses to cut it. She enjoys head bands, hair clips, elastics with a character on them - things like that, as long as they are unique.

I was first introduced to HairThingz via PTPA - they have been nominated for an award actually - fingers crossed! What are HairThingz you ask? Well they aren't clips, they aren't elastics, they aren't head bands or bows - they are thingz!

Created by a mom of four who needed a solution in an economic crisis, her husband came home one day with a product that he thought she may be able to put to good use - HairThingz were born.

HairThingz allow you to create fun and unique hair styles using different colours and placing them in different patterns. There are so many different ways to wear HairThingz, your imagination is the limit! Layer them, link them, stretch them - they always bounce back into their original spiral shape ready to use again and again.

HairThingz are made in the US with recyclable, non-toxic polyethylene. Each package contains 12 HairThingz in three colours. We received "Princess Tiara" which has pink, white and grey HairThingz. They also come with instructions and styling ideas. It can be tricky at first but with some practice we can create some pretty and unique hair styles with these! It was mostly tricky because K has such thick, long hair. We would need HairThingz Plus, bigger HairThingz for thicker hair available soon. We did manage to come up with a hair style after a couple of tries and we put HairThingz to the test. I have some learning to do when it comes to different styles!

K took her bath that night wearing the HairThingz and ended up falling asleep with them in her hair. We thought they would fall out over night but no, they didn't! The next morning they were not tangled and still in place. They don't pull hair when you take them out either which is good, nobody likes having their hair pulled by accessories!

Definitely a fun new way to do your little girl's do - or even your own with HairThingz! Check out the entire colour collection and blog at www.hairthingz.com
