We are almost finished the first month of a new year and also half way through winter, if I might add. The winter months always seem so long to me. Maybe it's the lack of being outdoors or when we are outdoors, the lack of sunshine. I don't like that "cold in my bones" feeling, it makes me want to say Goodbye January!

Despite it still being a cold month, I have always liked February. It's more of a light-hearted month, with Valentine's Day approaching and all. I enjoy any opportunity to show my family I care and Valentine's Day is no different. Hallmark Canada has some beautiful Valentine's Day gift ideas for your sweethearts you'll be proud to give!

'Love-a-saurus" Techno Plush is sure to entertain everyone young and older with his parody of "U can't touch this" by MC Hammer. I definitely got a kick out of this one and you will too! $32.95 or $17.95 with the purchase of 3 Hallmark cards.

Brighten up the bedroom *or any room* with the Happy pillow! "Let's get happy up in here!" is embroidered across the front and its got lovely red pom poms on each corner of the pillow. $34.95

Show someone you love them with an assorted scented soap bar gift set and soap dish. They bring relaxation and elegance to any bathroom. Each bar is 3.8oz each and scents include honeysuckle, verbena and ocean. $24.95 per set.

For the note-taking writer in your life, a Marjolein Bastin Flat Note Pad Set is sure to please.  Perfect for everyday notes, or for little "I love you's" to put in their pockets. Set comes with pen and bow, great addition to the home office desk. $7.95 with any purchase.

Show someone why you're better together with the "What I Love About Us' book. Each page has space to personalize it and tell your true love story. Hardcover, 48 pages $9.95.

Love notes are always a perfect way for couples to share a sweet message with each other. "I love us" notes are pre written love letters to leave in his or her pocket, on their desk, in their lunch, on the dash of the car, or wherever else your heart desires. There are 100 in the book for $9.95.

Valentine's Day is about more than just romantic dinners and gifts but when you give it from the heart with love it means all that much more.
