As a review blogger I obviously get a lot of packages coming to my door on a weekly basis. Some of these come via Canada Post, others via FedEx and some via Purolator.

Typically if you are not home, or happen to be home and just miss the door as the driver is pulling away - the driver won't return and you either have to call up the courier company for a re-deliver or just go pick it up at the nearest location stated on the little ticket that the driver leaves stuck to the door. Depending which company you are dealing with, this could be simple task or a nightmare.

I received one of those little tickets on the door at the end of this week. I had been expecting packages or the likes all week but nothing was coming, it was also the week after Canada Day so that makes for some slower than usual deliveries.

I thought it would be safe to take a shower since it was almost 11am and nobody had come to the door - yet. Just as Im in the middle of my shower I hear the dog run down stairs and start barking. I called for one of the kids to tell me if someone was there but of course they didn't hear me so by the time I got out of the shower and down stairs the truck was long gone.

I took the ticket off the door and called up Purolator to let them know that I missed the delivery but the location is way too far to pick it up so I need a redeliver. No problem, the customer service rep was more than helpful and set everything up.

I was happy, my delivery was coming back on Monday and all was well with the world once again.  Several hours later, I see a purolator truck stop in front of the house. I was surprised, purolator again?

The driver is a regular delivery guy who has been delivering packages to me since I began blogging back in 2009. He said he knows I'm usually home and decided to try again once he was done his route. How nice and considerate of him! Not making me wait an entire weekend for my delivery!

I would like to thank Purolator for their help and also for having such great employees like the one who delivers at my house. If all companies had customer service like I got today, I think the world could be a happier place ;)
