We just came back from camping and it was sooo much fun! We lived at the beach and it was great just watching the kids be kids with out any technology around to distract
ReplyDeleteMy most memorable trip was our move from Georgia to Arizona when we lived in the states, 3 day drive that turned into 4 1/2... I think I'm scarred for life over that..
ReplyDeleteWith our first little one on the way in November, no adventures yet, but we have family across Canada so I'm sure we'll be travelling soon enough when she arrives!!

ReplyDeleteWe've only been on short local trips (maximum 2 hours away) but we're leaving on an adventure across the country on Sunday, flying to Vancouver (from Ontario), taking the ferry across to Victoria, back to Vancouver, then driving to Kelowna, back to Vancouver and flying home 8 days later!

ReplyDeleteWe have yet to do a big trip with our little guy but the most memorable trip was a the hour drive to a neighbouring small town that has the best hot dog stand in the summer. It was fun to make the first "trip" as this is a tradition for our family.

We went to New Jersey with our kids when they were very young (few years back) and it was over 10 hours from where we live ... but they did great!
ReplyDeleteMy dad and I took my then 10 month old son on a 22 hour roadtrip back in May. We drove into the Kootenays, to Kimberley, BC, where my father grew up. I was dreading how little dude would handle it, but he was amazing, it went as smoothly as possible!
ReplyDeleteWe went on a roadtrip up to Williams Lake when DD1 was 5 months old. The first part was fine, but the last half was non stop screaming. No stops, no nursing, no diaper changes, nothing! could get her to stop. I never want to do that again.

ReplyDeleteWe took our boys to Kauai over Spring Break! It went pretty well, except that our youngest was sick for most of the trip and they never slept past 5:30am. But, we still have fantastic memories!! Maybe we will try camping next!
ReplyDeleteEvery weekend we try to make it out to our families camp with our new fresh baby at 2 weeks old and our one year old :) leaving the city to the enjoyment of the bush is what we look forward to! Our lil ones love the fresh air!

ReplyDeleteOh gosh, we love to travel and have too many favourites to choose from. Our top 4 memorable trips would be backpacking in Italy with our oldest daughter when she was 7 months old; backpacking in Holland and Germany with our youngest daughter when she was 6 months old; visiting New Orleans in the week leading up to Mardi Gras; and taking a trip to Disneyland. All very different memories, all amazing!!
