Spring time is a great time to really show the kids what it means to take care of the earth by getting them to help out in what I like to call the 'community clean up'. We get out the garbage/recycle bags, put on our rubber boots and grab a rake or two for an afternoon of picking up anything we see that has surfaced from under the winter snow.
The yard still has a lot of melting left to do but we have started to pick up trash, debris and other things that may have ended up in the yard and became covered in snow during the winter months. It's a dirty job but it's our earth, it's our job. We can feel proud to know we helped, even if it was in a small way like cleaning our own backyard.
Earth Day is April 22nd and we are celebrating all things enviro-friendly with @EnviroKidz by Nature's Path. They are all about making learning about the environment and animals fun and also delicious for kids!
EnviroKidz welcomes you to try out this yummy Chocolate Garden Cups recipe for Earth Day! These cups are perfect for kids parties or after school snacks, so adorable and fun to make for the whole family. Topped with yummy organic Choco Chimps cereal, this delicious and simple eggless chocolate pudding is light and not too sweet.
