November is the month we start preparing for the colder weather. Days are shorter, getting darker earlier and the air is crisp, hearty food weather. Soup has always been a go-to staple in our home. It's both nutritious and delicious plus, there is a universe of different soups out there to try.

Happy Planet is about feel good food. Created through Randal Ius and Gregor Robertson's vision to give city folk the goodness of the country food through fresh smoothies and juices. Made with a blender and wholesome ingredients, Happy Planet was born.

Through perseverance, passion (and a few mistakes along the way), Happy Planet is now Canada's leading all-natural food and juice company. They continue to make their fresh smoothies and juices but they also now make fresh organic soups, too!

Happy Planet sent us a variety of their Grab & Go fresh, organic soups to try out for ourselves. Happy Planet organic soups are made with fresh ingredients and are gluten and dairy free. There are different types of soups for everyone including Thai Coconut, Tuscan Tomato, West African Squash and Cashew, Portuguese Kale and white bean, and my favourite French Lentil soups!

Happy Planet Grab & Go soups are great for exactly that - when you're on the go! Take off the lid, peel back the film, heat in the microwave for 2 minutes and enjoy! Great for after school snacks, on a busy sporting event night or even in your daily lunches for work and school. A healthy, hearty food for the busy family.

I tried out my favourite, French Lentil soup for the first time. Full and hearty with diced tomatoes, fresh lentils, onions, carrots, cauliflower and red peppers.

Hubby tried West African Squash and Cashew soup which is made with diced tomatoes, butternut squash, chickpeas, a hint of coconut and onions. Also, hearty and filling - these soups can make a meal on their own.

These soups smell as good as they look and taste even better. Heating time depends on your microwave. Ours is an older model so 3 minutes in the microwave gave us the perfect soup temperature and the best part, the soup still taste as if it's fresh off the stove.

Unlike other soups, Happy Planet Grab & Go soups are made fresh with fresh ingredients, therefore they have an expiration date. The sooner you eat them the better!

Happy eating!
